Pershing Square’s Newest Installation by Patrick Shearn
There’s a new installation at Pershing Square in DTLA and, fingers crossed, we don’t foresee any vandalism to it in the near future (See TURF: A mini-golf project). Suspended yards in the air, the string connecting shards of metallic plastic hangs high above Los Angelenos’ heads as they peruse the iconic square. Liquid Shards created by Patrick Shearn of Poetic Kinetics and AA Visiting School Los Angeles, teamed up with students to install the massive line connected to the famous Bell Tower. AA Visiting School’s Instagram documented the project from day one. You can see their progress here. If you find yourself in DTLA, we suggest you stop by.
